In Q2 2022, the performance of the top Maps and Navigation apps on the Android platform in Russia showcased interesting trends. Here’s a breakdown of the top five apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery demonstrated a consistent download rate throughout the quarter. Starting with approximately 135K downloads in late March, it peaked at around 172K in the week of June 20. The app also maintained a robust active user base, growing from 3.35M weekly active users at the beginning of the quarter to nearly 3.92M by the end of June.

Yandex Maps and Navigator saw a steady increase in downloads, starting at 113K in late March and reaching 162K by the last week of June. Weekly active users also increased, from about 7.12M at the start of the quarter to around 8.26M by the end.

2GIS: Offline map & navigation experienced a gradual rise in downloads, beginning with 80K in late March and peaking at 110K in early June. Active users remained steady, starting at 3.89M and ending the quarter at approximately 4.30M.
